First Action Small Screen Foray
Los Angeles, CA (June 4, 1997) -- Rysher Entertainment, Neil
Russell Productions and Jerry Bruckheimer are joining forces
on the most ambitious first-run syndicated action series ever
--"SOLDIER OF FORTUNE, INC." -- premiering the week
of September 22.
Brad Johnson ("Always," "Flight of the Intruder")
stars as the leader of an elite international crime fighting
unit that is often forced to operate outside the law to achieve
its hired objectives. Jerry Bruckheimer, one of Hollywood's top
action feature film producers ("The Rock," "Crimson
Tide," "Days of Thunder," "Top Gun")
has teamed up with Neil Russell ("Donato And Daughter,"
" Not our Son"), Greg Strangis ("Murder She Wrote,"
"Falcon Crest," "Pacific Blue,") and Robert
McCullough ("Murder She Wrote," "Falcon Crest,"
"High Tide") to executive produce this new high adventure
series.
"SOLDIER OF FORTUNE, INC." chronicles the adventures
of a top-confidential, international crime fighting unit comprised
of former military intelligence operatives. Using leading-edge
technology and weaponry, "S.O.F, INC." takes on deadly,
covert missions to protect domestic and international interests,
for a price.
Joining Johnson in this series is Tim Abell ("Executive
Command," "Steel Sharks") as Benny Ray Riddle,
an ex-marine Corps sniper and a munitions expert.
Rèal Andrews ("General Hospital") as Jason "Chance"
Walker, a former-Army helicopter specialist and a lethal weapon
in hand-to-hand combat. Melinda Clarke ("Spawn," "Return
To Two Moon Junction") stars as Margo Vincent, a former
CIA case officer in West Germany whose specialties lie in intelligence
gathering and anti-terrorist activities. Mark Sheppard ("The
X-Files," "In The Name Of The Father") stars as
Christopher "C.J." Yates, a former SAS Sergeant who
is a master in demolition and an accomplished climber.
