MELINDA CLARKE
Biography
as of June 1997
Melinda Clarke stars as the exotic and mysterious Margo Vincent,
a former CIA case officer in West Germany whose specialties lie
in intelligence gathering and anti-terrorist activities. |
Born into an entertainment family, her father and mentor John
Clarke, portrays "Micky Horton" on "Days of our
Lives" and her mother Patricia, was a ballet dancer. Raised
in Dana Point, California, Melinda began training ballet, tap
and jazz at the age of four at her mother's studio. Throughout
her teenage years, she performed in many stage productions and
musicals as well as participating in workshops at South Coast
Repertory (SCR) and summer camps at Idyllwilde School of Music
and the Arts (ISOMATA). She also has many years of extensive
voice training and is a "Coloratura Soprano." At the
age of eighteen, with her parent's blessing, Melinda moved to
Los Angeles to pursue her professional career and has been working
consistently ever since.
Melinda has had starring roles in feature films including, "Spawn," "Killer Tongue,"
"Critics," "Return to Two Moon Junction,"
"Return of the Living Dead III," and "Young Goodman
Brown." Her performance in "Killer Tongue" won
her the Best Actress Award at the 1996 Sitges Fantasy Film Festival
in Spain.
In addition to her feature film roles, Melinda has also appeared
on the small screen as a series regular in Aaron Spelling's "Heaven
Help Us" and NBC's "Days Of Our Lives." Her guest
starring credits also include; "Likely Suspects," "The
George Carlin Show," "Strangeluck," "Lawless,"
"Xena: Warrior Princess," "Sliders," "Nash
Bridges" and most recently "Seinfeld."
For Melinda, however, musicals are the ultimate performance.
They are not only a test of her acting ability but they put her
dance and voice lessons to work as well. Further proof of this
opinion is that her favorite stage musical is West Side Story
and "All That Jazz" her favorite film.
On the stage, Melinda has starred in such musicals as The Music
Man, Oklahoma, West Side Story, Sound Of Music, Hello Dolly and
The Fantastiks. Her stageplay credits include Vicious (the original
Sid and Nancy Story), The Elephant Man, Lie of the Mind and Dark
of the Moon.
When not out performing, Melinda likes to spend time with her
fiance (husband after June 28th), family and her three cats,
Bella Blue, Bart and Cruiser at her home in the Los Angeles area. |
