GREG STRANGIS
Biography
as of June 1997
Greg Strangis is co-executive producer of the Rysher Entertainment
action series "SOLDIER OF FORTUNE, INC."
A third generation Los Angelian, Strangis is working side-by-side
with his writing-producing partner, Robert McCullough on this
project. McCullough and Strangis originally met in 1969 when
they worked together as production assistants and have continued
that partnership to this day. Strangis and McCullough most recently
collaborated as Creative Consultants on "JAG" for NBC/Paramount,
having formed their producing and writing partnership just a
year ago. In that brief period, the team has written multiple
episodes of several exciting new shows, including "Baywatch
Nights," "Pacific Blue" and a two-hour "Murder
She Wrote" for Universal/CBS.
Strangis was the creator/writer/producer of "The Presidents"
for HBO, the creator/writer of the one-hour pilot "Cinderella
Man" for NBC Productions and the creator/executive producer
for the Paramount series "War Of The Worlds." He has
also served as a writer for the following series, "Renegade"
for Cannell Productions, "Valley of the Dolls" for
New World Productions and "Dark Justice" for Warner
Bros./Lorimar. Strangis has served as Executive Producer on such
movies of the week as, "The Sinking of the Rainbow Warrior"
and "Captive" for ABC and "Reason For Living:
The Jill Ireland Story" for NBC. Strangis was also a writer/producer
on several one-hour series that include, "The New Adventures
of Flipper" for Samuel Goldwyn Productions, "Falcon
Crest" for Lorimar/CBS and "Eight Is Enough" for
Lorimar/ABC. Strangis was presented a People's Choice award for
his work on "Eight Is Enough."
Strangis and his wife, a trial attorney, currently reside in
the West Hills area of Los Angeles with their two dogs, Mario,
a Golden Retriever and Barrister, a Shelty. |
